As the Buddha would say, "Life Sucks!"

Consider suffering: how all things wrongly experienced will bring suffering...that is, this world being a perverted reflection of the spiritual world, how all things not connected with service to the Lord will bring only travail in it's wake. We are by nature blissful beings, we living entities by our very birthright are happy and not suffering, not feeling pain or sorrow. Material nature is a two-headed beast, one which wars against itself, against it's very members.
The material world is one gigantic ego battle, egos warring amongst themselves. The living entity instead of being at peace with it's brothers and sisters, fights those who would bring it peace and contentment.
And who are they who would rescue the self from this mortal world where everything is on fire with desire?
They are the God-men, the beings of God intoxicated feeling, the Guru. The Guru is not an ordinary man; he is a representative of the spiritual world and as such should be respected and honored as much as the true God, the divine grace of our Being.
Honor the Guru and all good things will be yours. Dishonor or disrespect him and it will be the ruin of your spiritual life. The guru is a fire and may warm you in your chill and night...but get too close to him and you may get burnt. But we must take the great leap and surrender to him and do his bidding. For the guru does not come to this world of illusion except to round up all souls to bring them back to home, back to Godhead where we shall run and play like children with the only real person, Govinda, Gopal, who is our dear most friend and well-wisher...
